The Chemex coffee maker is a pour over brewer that uses either a paper filter (or recently created metal filter).
Being made of Borosilicate glass, it can withstand temperatures of up to 515°F/268°C. It also comes with a smooth wooden collar – allowing you to handle it after brewing.
An interesting bit of information, it was commercialized in 1941 and has appeared in many movies since then because of it’s elegant look.
